A 52-year-old man has fought off two men who tried to rob him at knifepoint in Australind leaving one with a broken arm and the other with a serious knee injury.
Bunbury Detectives are seeking information regarding an attempted armed robbery in Australind on Monday, November 13.
A 52-year-old man was walking in the vicinity of Chrysoberyl View at around 10pm when he saw a white 1997-2004 Holden Commodore sedan drive past him with several people on board yelling out.
A short time later, as the victim was walking in a westerly direction on Carnelian Avenue, he was pushed from behind, falling to the ground and was kicked in the ribs.
Two men appeared in front on him, one had a knife in his hand pointing at the victim, the other man was yelling at him to hand over his phone.
The victim struck the man holding the knife on the upper right arm resulting in him dropping the knife and screaming in pain.
Police believe the man would have sustained a broken arm from the blow.
The second man picked up the knife and walked towards the victim.
The victim kicked the man in the knee which caused him to fall to the ground in pain with what is believed to be a serious knee injury.
The driver of the Holden Commodore got out and helped the two men back into the car and they all drove off.
The first man is described as dark skinned, approximately 175cm tall, wearing a dark hooded top and jeans.
The second man is described as dark skinned, approximately 170cm tall, wearing a dark hooded top over a white shirt and long pants.
The third man is described as dark skinned, solid build and wearing a dark t-shirt.
A fourth person was heard to yell out from the vehicle, but was not seen by the victim.
As a result of this incident, the victim received a superficial cut to his stomach area, sore ribs and a cut above his eye.
