Bunbury Detectives have charged two people with drug distribution, money laundering, fraud and breaches of COVID-19 travel restrictions.
Yesterday, 28 April 2020, detectives coordinated a vehicle intercept of a Nissan Patrol on the corner of Forrest Highway and Dorsett Road in Lake Clifton.
It is alleged the two people circumvented the Wagerup and Lake Clifton regional checkpoints to conduct criminal activity in the Perth metropolitan area.
During a search of the vehicle and search warrants conducted at homes in Australind and Dalyellup, police located and seized:
• Over $7,000 in cash,
• Approximately 1 kilogram of Methylamphetamine;
• A Sawn-off shotgun;
• Ammunition;
• Approximately 6 grams of MDMA;
• Approximately 7 grams of Cocaine;
• 8 tablets of LSD; and
• Approximately 70 grams of Cannabis.

A 48-year-old woman from Australind has been charged with:-
• Possessed a Trafficable Quantity of Methylamphetamine with Intent to Sell/Supply;
• Carry Unlicensed Firearm and Drugs;
• 2 x Possess Ammunition;
• 5 x Possession of a Prohibited Drug with Intent to Sell/Supply;
• 2 x Possession of Stolen or Unlawfully Obtained Property;
• Possess Drug Paraphernalia
• Property Laundering – Engaged in Transaction;
• Obtaining a Financial Advantage by Deception – Centrelink fraud; and
• 2 x Failed to Comply with a Direction (Breach travel restriction).

A 35-year-old man from Dalyellup has been charged with:-
• Possessed a Trafficable Quantity of Methylamphetamine with Intent to Sell/Supply;
• Carry Unlicensed Firearm and Drugs;
• Possess Ammunition; and
• 2 x Failed to Comply with a Direction (Breach travel restriction).
They are due to appear before the Bunbury Magistrates Court today, 29 April 2020.
