The company has announced it will stop trading in Australia and New Zealand by the end of 2018 after 55 years of at-home parties.
Beloved company and trusted brand Avon announced it will close operations in Australia and New Zealand by the end of the year.
Avon ANZ President and Managing Director, Sharon Plant said the news was upsetting.
"This is a very sad day for our employees and Representatives," she said.
"As a management team our commitment and focus over the coming days, weeks and months is to support our people and the wider Avon community who are impacted by this decision.
“I would like to thank all the employees, Representatives and Customers who have supported Avon’s business over the years.”
The company started in the New York in 1886 and expanded operations to Australia in 1963.
A true pioneer in home party style retail, Avon could only be out-lived by long running competitor Tupperware which started selling in Australia n 1961.
Many of us will remember ourselves or parents either hosting Avon parties or maybe even working them.
