A Baldivis sex offender accused of indecently dealing with children at fast food outlets, parks, playgrounds and shopping centres in the southern suburbs has been charged with a further 15 offences.

The 58-year-old was arrested and initially charged with 48 child sex offences in February after police released images of a man sitting inside fast food restaurants.

Detectives set up a mobile police facility at Trusty Park in Baldivis calling for information from children and adults who had contact with the man.

“As a result of this action, their inquiries and information provided by members of the public, a further four victims (boys and girls) were identified,” a WA Police spokesperson said.

The man has been further charged with one count of committing an indecent act with intent to insult or offend a person, seven counts of a child sex offender being near a public place and seven counts of indecent dealings with a child under 13 years.

He remains in custody and is next due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on May 17.

At his previous court appearance in February, the man’s lawyer indicated his client would be pleading not guilty to majority of the charges.
