Detectives have charged a Baldivis man who was 17-years-old when he allegedly sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl in Warnbro after meeting her online.
The victim met the man via social media in January 2015 when he allegedly requested explicit images from the girl, to which she declined.
Police said the girl sent the images after he became aggressive towards her and made threats.
The man then allegedly threatened to release these images if the girl did not meet with him.
Sometime between January 1 and 18 in 2015, the victim met the man in Warnbro, during which time it will be alleged she was sexually assaulted before he again threatened to release the explicit images of the girl publicly.
During the evening, the victim was also allegedly physically assaulted by the man.
The now 19-year-old man has been charged with aggravated sexual penetration without consent, deprivation of liberty, assault occasioning bodily harm and threats with intent to compel the doing of an act.
He will appear before the Rockingham Children’s Court on October 4.
