There are no plans to introduce a police station into the rapidly growing suburb.
There's been mixed reactions from Baldivis residents after the Police Minister confirmed there were no plans to build a police station in the suburb.
Rockingham City Councillor Matthew Whitfield wrote to Michelle Roberts after hearing concerns from homeowners in the area.
Councillor Whitfield said people have been raising questions about the station over the last four years.
"They've [residents] seen the new police station built at Mundijong and that escalated the calls," he said.
"I had written to the previous Liberal government and they indicated they had no plans for a police station so I wrote to the current Police Minister.
"The current state government has also indicated they've no plans for a station too."
Councillor Whitfield, who is an ex-police officer, said he doesn't believe there is need for a station to be built in Baldivis.
He said residents were split over the issue, with half pushing for the structure while others did not see the need.
"It's not that I'm opposed to the idea, I do respect the views of the community, but from my own perspective I don't believe in spending ten or fifteen million dollars on a nice new shiny building which needs to be manned," he said.
"I'd rather see more resources actually put out there on the streets."
Some people said they were concerned a policing restructure would lead to a decline in patrols and services available to Baldivis residents.
From July 1 the four police districts in Western Australia will be changed to eight smaller areas with the WA Police Force ensuring changes will promote more manageable districts.
"The new district structure will provide greater connectivity and communication with police and their local community," Police Minister Michelle Roberts said in a letter to Mr Whitfield.
She also said Rockingham Police will be responsible for the Baldivis suburb and a Family and Domestic Violence Response Team will be assigned to each of the new eight districts.
"At this stage there is no immediate plans for a police station in Baldivis, however, I do expect the new policing structure will have a positive effect for Baldivis with the aim of improved response times," Ms Roberts wrote in the letter.
