A 75-year-old man has died in hospital as a result of injuries he suffered in a crash in Balingup with police now appealing to anyone who may have seen the three vehicles involved on the South Western Highway.
The crash happened on Monday, November 6 at the merge point of the overtaking lane on South Western Highway near Russells Road at around 1.10pm.
Police said a blue Honda Civic, travelling south, impacted with the front of a blue and black Volvo truck travelling in the same direction and as a result the Honda veered into the northbound lanes and into the path of a blue Kenworth truck travelling north.
The driver of the Honda, a 75-year-old man from Seville Grove, was conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital however he passed away on Thursday November 9 as a result of the injuries he received in the crash.
The drivers of the trucks were not injured.
Major Crash investigators would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the Honda Civic, Volvo or Kenworth trucks travelling along South Western Highway prior to the crash.
