City of Mandurah is giving residents the opportunity to select bridge colours to promote charitable organisations.
It's been a highlight, pun intended, for locals and visitors since the Mandurah Bridge lights were switched on earlier this year.
City of Mandurah has announced a new initiative to shine a light, yes another pun, sue me, on charitable organisations and the work they're doing by booking the lights and promoting upcoming events or appeals.
The City said in most cases the service will be free, which includes selecting hues from 6.7 million possible colours, but if a special program was necessary costs would be passed onto the organisation.
Mayor Rhys Williams encouraged local groups to get involved.
"I think this is a great use of the community's bridge, I love the idea that the City can help you put your charity up in lights,” he said.
"This is another example of the City working to connect community."
There are a few rules, for example bookings will not be accepted for commercial advertising purposes.
