Two men have been charged after a Public Transport Authority guard was reportedly kicked in the head until he turned unconscious on the Mandurah line.
A Rockingham man and a Wellard man will front Fremantle Magistrates court over an attack that took place on a train yesterday afternoon.
Around 3.25pm a group of men were travelling south to Wellard station on the Mandurah train line from Perth when PTA officers asked the men to get off at the next station which was Bull Creek.
The men were allegedly intoxicated, loud and abusive which prompted officers to ask the men to curb their behaviour and exit the train.
Police said a fight between the men and officers took place when they all exited the train at Bull Creek station, with one officer being kicked to the head, causing him to lose consciousness.
The injured officer was taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital for treatment.
