A bushfire advice has been issued for people north-west of Serpentine after a fire started in a nature reserve near Lowlands Road.
The fire was first reported early last night and has so far burnt five hectares of bushland in the Lowlands Nature Reserve, 7kms west-north-west of Serpentine.
There is no threat to lives or homes and firefighters are currently patrolling the area and mopping up.
The Department of Fire and Emergency Service said the cause of the fire is suspected lightning.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area, reduce speed and drive carefully due to smoke.
