Bushfire advice west of Dwellingup

A bushfire advice has been issued for people just west of Dwellingup after a fire started near the intersection of Scarp Road and Pinjarra-Williams Road.

The fire started in State forest just after 8 this morning.

There is no threat to lives or homes but there is a lot of smoke in the area.

The bushfire ADVICE has been issued for people in the vicinity of Scarp Road, 8km west of Dwellingup, in the Shire of Murray.

WHAT TO DO:  

Be extremely careful when driving through the area.

Turn your headlights on and drive slowly.

Watch for emergency services personnel and follow their directions.

If you cannot see clearly, pull over, keep your headlights and hazard lights on, and wait until the smoke clears.

BUSHFIRE BEHAVIOUR:

The bushfire is moving slowly in a south westerly direction.

It is not contained.
