Investigations are now underway after around a hundred cannabis plants were stolen from a police guarded property in Anketell.
Last week two Wellard men were charged over the discovery of the marijuana and fronted court.
Last Thursday officers found a large number of cannabis plants being hydroponically grown around a semi-rural property at Thomas Road in Anketell after they'd been tipped off about an alleged cannabis cultivation site.
Following the discovery officers were assigned to guard the scene overnight.
Last Friday a search warrant was executed on the property when it was discovered around 100 cannabis plants have been removed.
Police say unknown persons breached the scene and stole the plants.
The Organised Crime Squad and Internal Affairs Unit have both launched investigations over the theft.
Organised Crime is also looking into a range of serious drug offences linked to the property.
The two men charged in connection with the growing of cannabis were remanded in custody and will front Perth Magistrates Court today.
