A man accused of attacking a Rockingham police officer with a samurai sword is now facing the more serious charge of attempt to unlawfully kill.
Milos Radovic is accused of attacking a Rockingham police officer with a samurai sword on July 19 when police were called to a family violence incident at a house in Parkin Street.
The 55 year old Senior Constable received a deep wound to his head and was taken by ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital.
The father-of-four suffered a fractured skull and needed 25 stitches.
