Coolbellup man charged with 15 offences

A 29-year old man from Coolbellup is due to appear before the Fremantle Magistrates Court today, after he was charged with 15 offences by Fremantle Detectives.

Around 6.30am on 29 November 2018, it is alleged the man assaulted the occupant of a home in Coogee when he was confronted by the home's occupant.

The man fled the Coogee home in a Subaru Forester that was allegedly stolen during a burglary at a home in Bibra Lake on 28 November 2018.  

Police sighted the stolen Subaru about 4.40pm that afternoon (29 November 2018) in South Lake.  It is alleged the driver failed to stop but police did not continue following the vehicle due to the manner of the man’s driving.

About 6.30pm, inquiries by Fremantle Detectives led them to a home in Coolbellup where they recovered the stolen Subaru and a suitcase containing property stolen from several burglaries.

A 37-year-old woman from Coolbellup was charged with Steal Motor Vehicle and she is next due to appear in the Fremantle Magistrates Court on 4 January 2019.

Fremantle Detectives continued their investigation and on Tuesday 18 December 2018, they executed a search warrant at a residence in Lavinia Crescent Coolbellup, where it will be alleged they located and seized stolen property. 

The 29-year-old man has been charged with:- 
• 2 x Aggravated Home Burglary and Commit;
• 2 x Stealing;
• 2 x Attempted Gains Benefit by Fraud;
• Aggravated Robbery; 
• Home Burglary and Commit;
• Trespass; 
• Steal Motor Vehicle; 
• Aggravated Fail to Stop ;
• Reckless Driving to Escape Pursuit ;
• No Authority to Drive;
• Possess Prohibited Drug (Cannabis); and
• Possess Drug Paraphernalia.
