A 24-year-old man has been charged after allegedly smashing property and threatening the occupants of a home in Cooloongup with an axe.
Police have charged the man as a result of investigations into an incident on Athena Court on November 12.
The man allegedly forced entry into the home at around 2:55am and used the axe to smash a bathroom door and the windscreen and side windows of a vehicle at the home.
No-one was injured during the incident.
Investigations by Rockingham detectives led to a search warrant being executed at a home in Kwinana yesterday.
During the search police located and seized various weapons including knuckle dusters and nunchakus.
A 24-year-old man from Kwinana has been charged with two counts of criminal damage, aggravated burglary, being armed in a manner to cause fear and one count of possessing a prohibited weapon.
He is due to appear before the Rockingham Magistrates Court today.
