A 19-year-old man charged over a crash in Secret Harbour that claimed the lives of two teenagers has been released on bail after fronting court.
Joel Payne is facing two counts of dangerous driving occasioning death and one count of dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm.
The 19-year-old was not required to enter a plea when he appeared in Rockingham Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
The West Australian reports, his lawyer said Joel is very saddened by (the crash) and he’s undergoing significant counselling.
17-year-old Mason Hooton and 16-year-old Callum Mummery died after the Toyota Supra they were travelling in smashed into a tree on Secret Harbour Boulevard on October 5.
A third passenger was seriously injured in the crash.
Mr Payne was granted bail and is due back in court in January.
