A driver is on the run after allegedly crashing a stolen car into a wall in Cooloongup before it burst into flames.
Police say the red Mitsubishi Lancer, which was allegedly stolen from Silver Sands earlier in the week, was travelling at high speed along Willmott Drive when the driver lost control near Breaden Drive.
The car went over a median strip and crossed the road before hitting a garden well.
It then flipped and took out a power pole.
The driver fled on foot before the car caught alight.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or the Mitsubishi Lancer prior to the crash to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
