A Mandurah taxi driver has been caught blowing three times the legal limit on a random breath test on New Years Eve.
Traffic Enforcement Group officers have charged a 30 year old male taxi driver with drink driving following a traffic stop in Mandurah overnight.
At about 10:30pm officers were patrolling Pinjarra Road in Mandurah when, near the Sutton Street intersection, a taxi pulled out in front of them.
Police stopped the car and spoke to the 30 year old male driver.
He failed a preliminary breath test and was taken to Mandurah Police station where he failed a second test.
The driver, who was two hours into his shift, was issued with an immediate disqualification notice and will be summoned to appear in court at a later date.
