A man has been airlifted to hospital after a caravan fire in Pinjarra.
Witnesses reported hearing an explosion as the caravan burst into flames on Chestnut Street around 9.30am on Wednesday.
It took firefighters just under an hour to extinguish the blaze.
A St John Ambulance spokesperson said a man in his 40s was conveyed to Fiona Stanley Hospital by the RAC rescue helicopter.
He is understood to have suffered burns.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
