A granny flat in Waikiki has been gutted by fire.
Multiple 000-calls were made shortly before 3pm on Sunday reporting the fire at a property on Carmody Road.
Quick thinking neighbours used hoses to try and contain the blaze before firefighters arrived.
The fire was extinguished by 3.20pm.

The resident was at work at the time but sadly her cat was trapped inside and had to be euthanised due to smoke inhalation.
A Department of Fire and Emergency Services spokesperson said the cause was a vacuum battery overheating.
A GoFundMe page has been created to help support the resident.
