Halls Head College Education Support Centre has been selected as a finalist in the WA Education Awards.
This Excellence in Teaching and Learning (Secondary) category award acknowledges secondary schools that foster an environment in which all students are positively impacted through excellent learning and teaching.
Principal Deb Fieldwick said she is extremely proud of the staff, students and school community at Halls Head College Education Support Centre.
“Being selected as one of the three finalists in the Excellence in Teaching and Learning category is the result of a collective effort from all those who contribute to our school– from the staff, the parents and carers, the school board and of course to our wonderful students themselves.
"Who we are, and our success also comes from our collaboration with others in the wider community who connect to our school. Our partner school, Halls Head College, our Mandurah network schools, City of Mandurah and so many wonderful local businesses who have hosted students for workplace learning over the years.
“A school is only as strong as its school community and I am very honoured and proud to say ours is impressive."
Halls Head College Education Support Centre enrols secondary students, from Year 7 to Year 10, needing intensive support to achieve their educational and personal development goals.
The school fosters an inclusive environment that is focused on individual growth.
