An alleged car thief will be sent back to jail following a police chase from Baldivis to the Kwinana Freeway where a stolen car crashed down an embankment.
Police arrested three people after they allegedly evaded police in a stolen vehicle on Monday.
Officers first spotted the Hyundai Elantra just after midday in Baldivis where it failed to stop.
Police pursued the stolen car for several kilometres through Baldivis, Cooloongup and Karnup.
As the car drove south along the Kwinana Freeway, it lost control and went down an embankment near the Karnup Road exit.
It came to a rest before the three occupants were arrested by attending officers.
Seven News reports the car was taken from a Golden Bay property four days ago.
A 24-year-old-man from Rockingham was taken to Rockingham Hospital with minor injuries. He will be summonsed for steal motor vehicle.
A 19 year old woman of Warnbro was conveyed to Fiona Stanley Hospital with minor injuries. She will also be summonsed for steal motor vehicle.
A 19 year old man of no fixed address has been charged with steal motor vehicle, reckless driving, reckless driving to evade police, dangerous driving causing bodily harm, no authority to drive and return to prison warrant.
He will appear before the Rockingham Magistrates Court today.
