The Shire of Murray wants community members to get involved with reactivating the space.
The centre of the Peel Region is home to the Pinjarra Court House, where locals are being asked to propose ideas to activate the site.
The Shire of Murray wants to hear from community groups, arts and craft groups, business operators or individuals with an innovative and community centric idea to use or lease the space.
Chief Executive Officer Mr. Dean Unsworth, announced recently that expressions of interest for the use or lease of this key site in the Pinjarra town centre are now open and close on Friday July 27.
“The Shire is ideally seeking an outcome that will activate the property and adjoining streetscape and renders the inside of the building accessible to the public" he said.
“Proponents will need to demonstrate that the use of the building will be of social and cultural benefit to the community."
Located in the central part of George Street, the overall lease area is 271m2, including an enclosed rear courtyard and amenities.
Pinjarra is currently the focus of significant revitalisation efforts and will benefit over the next few years from substantial planned public investment in streetscapes, community buildings, public spaces and an improved river foreshore, all aimed at enhancing the popularity and attractiveness of town.

Interested parties are strongly encouraged to discuss their proposal with the Shire before submission. The property can be viewed by appointment.
