Make your vote count Mandurah

Mandurah residents are being encouraged to make their vote count ahead of the Local Government Elections on October 21.

Postal voting packages will be sent out to eligible voters from this week, so residents are urged to check the letterbox for their voting information.

Voters can make their voices heard by completing and returning their voting packages, which ensures the community has its say on their Council representatives.

There is one vacancy each on the Town and East wards, two vacancies each on the Coastal and North wards, and the Mayoral vacancy - all with four-year terms.

There are 28 candidates from diverse backgrounds and age groups in the running to become a Councillor or Mayor.

For information and profiles on the election candidates, go to www.mandurah.wa.gov.au.

Completed voting packages must be received via the post or returned to the WAEC Ballot Box at the City’s Administration Building by 4pm on Friday, October 20.

Alternatively, you can deliver your completed voting package in person at Mandurah Seniors and Community Centre, 41 Ormsby Terrace, between 8am and 6pm on voting day, Saturday October 21.
