The 38-year-old allegedly physically and sexually assaulted the woman after breaking into her home.
A woman in her 70s has been left shaken and scared after a man broken into her Armadale home yesterday afternoon.
Police said the Mount Lawley man broke into the Church Road property, gaining access through a window, around 1:40pm.
The victim confronted the would-be thief before he physically and sexually abused her.
Somebody called triple zero and Police arrived at the scene a short time later while the offender was still inside the home.
The man was arrested and charged with a string of offences including two counts of aggravated sexual penetration without consent, aggravated assault and aggravated burglary.
He'll appear before the Armadale Magistrates Court today.
