A man who admitted to crashing a car into a Bunbury harbour and leaving his passenger to drown in the submerged vehicle has been released on bail.
Jeremy Daniel Silver, 44, appeared in the Bunbury Magistrates Court on Monday and pleaded guilty to one count each of dangerous driving resulting in death and failing to report involvement in an incident resulting in death to police.
Michelle Welhan, 48, was found dead in the submerged car that had plunged into Casuarina Harbour in the early hours of March 11.
Silver was charged two days later after he was seen swimming away from the crash scene.
He was released on a $5000 personal bail and will be sentenced on October 2.
