Mandurah detectives investigating last month's violent Sutton Street home invasion have charged two people.
A 36 year old father-of-four was home alone when three people forced their way into his house armed with a hammer around 5.40pm on June 25.
They then allegedly threatened him for his car keys and personal belongings, with the victim being assaulted during the incident.
Police said one of the offenders also threatened the man with a knife found in the house.
They ransacked the man’s house, before stealing his silver Holden Commodore which was parked at the residence.
The victim received facial injuries and was treated at Peel Health Campus.
As a result of ongoing inquiries, Mandurah Detectives have now charged two people.
A 24 year old man from Willagee has been charged with steal motor vehicle, possessing prohibited drugs and drug paraphernalia.
He will appear before the Mandurah Magistrates Court on September 12.
A 28 year old woman from Yokine has been charged with steal motor vehicle and will appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
The stolen vehicle was recovered in Balga on June 28.
