A 20-year-old man has been charged after a three month old baby was killed in a freeway crash.
Major Crash Investigators have charged a 20 year old man for his part in a horror freeway crash which claimed the life of a three month old boy.
Police alleged the man drove his maroon coloured Holden sedan in Baldivis in a reckless manner just before midnight on Friday April 20.
It's further alleged he continued to drive the car in a dangerous manner on the Kwinana Freeway southbound before losing control of the car and crashing near the off ramp to Safety Bay Road at Baldivis.
As a result of the crash, the infant and the infant’s mother were ejected from the vehicle. The infant died of his injuries and his mother received serious head injuries.
The Tambellup man has been charged with Manslaughter and Dangerous Driving causing Grievous Bodily Harm.
He is due to appear in the Rockingham Magistrates Court today.
