Police in Kalgoorlie are yet to formally identify a man hit by a freight train early this morning.
The incident happened around 1.45 when the train was approaching the Piccadilly Street crossing.
Little details are known about the collision at this stage but officers are investigating if the victim is a 28 year old from Lamington.
The man died at the scene and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
