The couple were taking photos at Peaceful Bay on Saturday afternoon when the 21-year-old woman was swept off the rocks.
Her 31-year-old partner jumped into the swell with a boogie board to rescue her, before both were swept two kilometres out to sea.
They spent at least three hours in the water before being washed back to shore.
According to Seven News, the man pushed his partner onto a rock but when she turned around he had disappeared.
The woman was taken to Albany Health Campus and treated for lacerations to her feet, shock and hypothermia.
An extensive search for the man on Saturday afternoon and Sunday found no trace of him.
The search will continue on Monday.
