Mandurah detectives are investigating a serious crash at the Kwinana Motorplex that's left an 8-year-old girl fighting for life in hospital.

Tragically, the eight year old girl involved in a crash at the Kwinana Motorplex yesterday has died as a result of the injuries she sustained.
Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.

Police would like to speak to anyone who was at the Motorplex who saw the crash or has vision of the crash.
At about 12:20pm yesterday, an 8-year-old girl was driving a drag racing car for a test run.
Police said at the end of the run she failed to stop and struck a cement barrier.
The girl received life threatening injuries and was conveyed to Rockingham Hospital before being transferred to Princess Margaret Hospital.
