A Mandurah mother-of-four has suffered burns to her body after an Alice Springs car festival stunt went terribly wrong.
A total of 12 people were injured after a Bunbury man’s burnout display sparked a flash fire at the festival on Sunday.
Seven News reports one man was seriously burnt as he tried to shield the Mandurah mother from the flames.
The woman was rushed to hospital with a family friend confirming her injuries.
It is hoped the Mandurah mother will be well enough to travel home later this week.
The Red CentreNATS event was shut down and an investigation is now underway.
