Mandurah has shivered through its coldest day in over a decade.

The temperature hit a high of just 13.2C at 12pm on Tuesday, the lowest maximum temperature since July 11, 2011 when it reached 13.1C.

Rockingham recorded its maximum of 12.9C just after 3.20pm.

Several suburbs were showered with hail including Port Kennedy.

The cold weather was due to a cold front that moved across Perth and the South West.
