Mandurah detectives are investigating an alleged assault incident in Halls Head where a mother and her baby girl were injured.
Police were called to the apartments on Apollo Road at about 4:50 am on Thursday after a mother and child were assaulted by a man.
They sustained minor injuries to their faces and hands.
The 20-year-old mother from Falcon and her infant daughter were staying at the apartments.
Both were taken to hospital for examination.
The man was not at the scene on police arrival.
He is described as 20-30 years old, slim build, dark hair, possible black hair that is short on sides and long on top, unshaven, wearing checker long sleeve shirt, dark t-shirt, light coloured jeans, black shoes with white soles.
Police have released a CCTV image of person that may be able to assist in the investigation.
