My park grooves in Mandurah, free community events

Residents are invited to reconnect with neighbours at four local parks as part of the City of Mandurah's next series of MyPark Grooves.

The series of free community events will be held in four parks around Mandurah this month and everyone is invited to come along and join the fun.

MyPark Grooves will be held every Sunday in November from 3-6pm, starting this Sunday.

The events encourage nearby residents to take ownership of their parks by keeping an eye out for theft or vandalism and reporting to police and authorities.

The free MyPark Grooves events will feature family-friendly entertainment, live music and activities for all ages.

A sausage sizzle will be available or bring a picnic and join your neighbours to reconnect with your local park.

Residents can also find out more about the "Eyes on the Park‟ rewards program to help to combat vandalism and theft in these areas.

Mayor Rhys Williams said good neighbourhood relations were important and encouraged people to reconnect with the help of MyPark Grooves.

“Parks and reserves are a central hub for every neighbourhood and a great space to connect with people living nearby.

“The MyPark Grooves series is a great way to get together with your neighbours to celebrate what's great about living in Mandurah.”

The Safer Mandurah MyPark Grooves project has been developed in response to issues highlighted by residents, businesses and WA Police, and works to continue to uphold community safety and crime prevention.
