Fireworks, food, fun and an idol all set for the NYE celebrations!
The City of Rockingham are pulling out the big guns this New Year's Eve, with a family friendly even on the Rockingham Foreshore.
From 5pm on new year's eve people can head to Churchill Park for free children's activities, entertainment and rides and attractions.
Australian Idol runner up Shannon Noll will also be making an appearance and treating folks to a live performance, supported by Rockingham's own AC/DC tribute band Livewire.
The evening will be capped by two spectacular firework displays at 9pm and midnight.
Mayor Barry Sammels said all community members are invited to celebrate at the event, which is part of the City’s Summer Series of smoke-free and alcohol-free events.
He's expecting over 25,000 people to be in attendance, the same number of people as recent years.
“It’s a great opportunity to come together and reflect on the year’s memorable moments and remember how fortunate we are to be living in such a beautiful region, with award-winning beaches, easy lifestyle, community events, excellent education, sports and recreational facilities," he said.
