A Pinjarra family day care educator has been recognised as one of Australia's best early childhood educators.
Amanda Atherton-Synge, who is registered with Bright Futures Family Day Care, was announced as the Mandurah and Peel regional winner for the 2019 Excellence in Family Day Care Awards.
The awards highlight the incredible work completed by educators every day, as well as showcasing the strong bonds shared between family day care educators and the children they work with.
Family Day Care Australia CEO Andrew Paterson said this year had a record number of nominations.
“To be chosen as a regional winner is not only a reward for Amanda’s dedication to providing quality early childhood education and care, it also underscores the relationship that Amanda has with the children in her care,” said Mr Paterson.
“The Excellence in Family Day Care Awards highlight the special contribution that educators like Amanda make to the lives of the children in their care,” Mr Paterson says.
Ms Atherton-Synge is now in the running to be named as a national finalist, announced on October 14, 2019.
