Mandurah detectives are investigating an assault which occurred outside a nightclub in Smart Street Mall in the early hours of Sunday morning.
It happened at about 3am when the victim and his friend were sitting outside a club and were approached by another male.
A physical altercation occurred before nearby security intervened and separated them.
A 22-year-old man from Erskine sustained minor injuries to his face.
The other man involved left the area and police would like him to come forward.
