The Police Arson Squad and fire investigators will today investigate a house fire in the state's south west.
Police said around 4.30 this morning authorities were called to the scene of a fire at the intersection of Tipping Street and Frankel Street in Carey Park, around 100 kilometres south of Mandurah.
Three fire crews consisting of 12 firefighters fought to put out the blaze this morning but significant damage had already been done to the property.
It's unclear if anyone was inside at the time of the blaze. Authorities will spend the day determining the cause of the fire, but said it was suspicious and deliberately lit.
