A Port Kennedy dog owner says his pets have been targeted for a second time in a suspected animal cruelty attack.
The man, who does not want to be named, returned home on Saturday night to find his dog, Max, with rusty fish hooks hanging out of his mouth.
“He was yelping,” he said.
“Why would anybody contemplate doing anything like this.”

He immediately took the 12-week-old Cavoodle to the emergency vet in Baldivis to get the hooks removed, before reporting the incident to the ranger.
The man believes the hooks were thrown over his backyard fence and said it was not the first time potentially deadly items had been thrown into his backyard.
“When our other dog was still a pup, we found a condom hanging out of his mouth and there was barbed wire chucked over the fence,” he said.
The father has since installed CCTV cameras around his home and is warning other pet owners to be extra vigilant.
The man said he will report the incident to the RSPCA today.
