Child Abuse Squad detectives have charged an 84 year old man as a result of their investigation into alleged historic child sexual abuse incidents.
It is alleged between 1979 and 1982, the man indecently assaulted a girl who was aged between six and seven years at the time of the first offence. It is further alleged the incidents occurred when the man was a Catholic Priest providing pastoral care.
The man from the Mandurah District has been charged with:-
· Six counts of Indecent Treatment of a Child under 14 years.
He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today, Monday 13 July 2020.
