De Bortoli are recalling one of their latest releases.
De Bortoli Wines are recalling some bottles of their recently released 750ml glass bottled Woodfire Sparkling Shiraz.
The product has been available for sale in leading independent liquor retailers throughout Western Australia and other parts of the country.
Bottles with the date marking L7279b1 and L7327b1 have been identified with a packaging fault with the bottle, which may, under certain heat conditions over extended periods, cause the bottle to shatter.
The company say this poses a significant consumer safety risk.
Customers are advised not to open the bottle and minimise handling.
De Bortoli said to reduce the risk of injury, wrap the bottle in a towel and insert into a plastic bag, then place the product in safe cool storage.
Customers should contact the company's national customer support centre on 1800 697 224 to arrange for someone to pick up the recalled product and provide the choice of either a replacement product or full refund.
