An elderly woman has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Dawesville.
The woman, aged in her 90s, was on Estuary Road near Crocos Place around 8.55am on Wednesday when she was struck by the vehicle.
The RAC rescue helicopter was deployed to the scene but has since been stood down.
The woman was taken to Peel Health Campus by ambulance instead.
The extent of her injuries are not yet known but they are believed to be serious.
