Western Australia was home to the only two tickets, across the country, to match the winning numbers in the Saturday Lotto draw over the weekend.
Worth more than $2.5 million each, the tickets were sold from Norseman Gold Pharmacy and Waterfront News, Gifts and Lottery Centre in Rockingham.
Waterfront News Store Owner David Mews said it’s a great feeling to produce their second Division One winning ticket this year.
“It just feels awesome, this is our fourth win in just over two years and it’s amazing to have been part of so many of our customer’s winning experience,” he said.
“It’s a great week for Lotto with the $100 million Powerball jackpot on Thursday, so here’s hoping we can bring in another win.”
Lotterywest spokesperson Alana Christian said WA is on a Lotto winning streak.
“Not only did Saturday’s draw see two West Aussies take home a Division One prize, but it also saw WA produce 19 Division Two tickets, each worth more than $2,500,” she said.
“WA’s Lotto winning streak is stronger than ever as we head into the $100 million Powerball jackpot on Thursday.
“Syndicates are a great way to play the bigger jackpots, not only do you share the cost of the ticket, but you also get to share the joy of a win.”
The winning numbers for Saturday’s draw were 40, 24, 12, 11, 7, 5, 28 and 15.
