The RSCPA are investigating after a pet cat was found dumped in the Serpentine River in Greenfields.
The three-year-old grey cat named Grace was found dead in a humane trap floating in the water near the intersection of Lakes and Stock Roads on Thursday.
It's believed she was trapped before being dumped in the river.
"Grace is one of a number of cats to have gone missing in Greenfields recently, most between 12 and 16 September. She is the first to be found," a RSPCA spokesperson said.
If you have any information about Grace’s death, or any of the other missing cats in the area, please call the RSPCA Cruelty Hotline on 1300 278 358 and quote the job number 169 905.
