Police have charged a 34-year-old man after firearms and ammunition were allegedly found in his car in Rockingham.
Police stopped the man's Holden Rodeo ute on Ennis Avenue around 8pm on Thursday.
Officers searched the vehicle and allegedly found a .22 sawn off rifle under the driver's seat along with a spent .22 shell casing.
A double barrel shotgun and .22 ammunition was also allegedly seized during a further search by detectives.
Police also searched the driver and allegedly located an amount of cash and methamphetamine.
The Leda man has been charged with possessing a firearm in circumstances of aggravation, possessing an unlicensed firearm and possessing a prohibited drug.
He will appear in Rockingham Magistrates Court today.
