Sightings of a whale carcass have prompted Sharksmart to issue a shark advice warning near Yallingup.
The carcass has been spotted by the Surf Life Saving WA helicopter patrol around one kilometre south of the Three Bears surfing spot.
There are concerns the decomposing carcass could act as an attractant and lead to sharks coming close in to shore along the stretch of coast.
Sharksmart said it wasn't uncommon for sharks to be present off the Western Australian coast throughout the year and people should exercise additional caution until the whale carcass is removed.
Beachgoers are also urged to adhere to beach closures.
