A 14-year-old Shoalwater boy has been charged after allegedly kicking a woman and stealing her bag.
The 18-year-old woman was walking on Digby Street in Gosnells around 10.45pm on Thursday when the boy allegedly ran up behind her.
The victim fell to the ground before the boy allegedly kicked her to the body.
He then allegedly grabbed her bag and ran away.
A short time later the boy was discovered hiding in the backyard of a nearby property.
The residents contacted police who arrived shortly after and arrested the boy.
He has been charged with robbery, possessing a prohibited drug (cannabis), and giving false personal details to police.
The boy will appear in the Perth Children’s Court today.
