Perth Detectives have charged a 35 year old man following an incident in Perth yesterday afternoon, 27 July 2020.
It will be alleged that just before 2pm the man confronted a 25 year old woman known to him at Weld Park, off Beaufort Street. He assaulted the woman causing her to receive facial bruising and swelling.
At this time a 46 year old man who is known to the woman approached. It is further alleged that the accused stabbed the man to the chest with a knife before running from the area along Parry Street.
The victims followed the accused along Parry Street towards Stirling Street where they confronted the man. He struck the woman to the right forearm with the knife causing a laceration that required medical attention.
A 35 year old man from Singleton has been charged with:
- 2 counts of Unlawful Wounding
- 1 count of Assault Occasioning Bodily Harm
He will appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today, 28 July 2020.
