Sadly one of the puppies has passed away.
The RSPCA is investigating after ten puppies were found abandoned outside a Narrogin gym.
On Tuesday morning a member of the public found a box of 10 black and tan puppies by Narrogin Creek.
According to the RSPCA the pups are no older than two weeks and still have their umbilical cords attaches. It also said the animals had full bellies and it was likely they had been feeding from their mum.
The animal welfare group said it was also concerned about the health of the mother, who could be suffering from mastitis.
The 10 pups were taken to Narrogin Veterinary Service, but one died in transit. The nine surviving puppies are doing well and will be transferred to the Animal Care Centre in Malaga for further treatment when they are ready.
The RSPCA is now asking members of the public who might has seen suspicious activity in the area or anyone who has concerns for a female dog who may appear to have just had puppies to contact the cruelty hotline on 1300 278 3589.
